A view of Port Maria

Port Maria is a small shallow bay to shelter boats. We are in the golfe du Morbihan at the entrance of the river in Vannes. I did not sketch on site, but painted from my visual memory of the landscape. Is that impressionism ?
As for the colors, my first strokes of blue sky reminded me of Nicolas Poussin’s paintings (1594-1665), the vague starting point used to complete this work.
