Islands of Kerguelen

I still wonder why there is a parrot  in the center of this chart. Madagascar indeed figures on the map, but  the island’s only parrot is black.
I was lucky  to spend a few months in Kerguelen. In the aftermath of this journey, my first illustrated book was born : “Carnets Tempete”.
